Laid Back Labor Day Weekend At The Lake.

These 3 pictures sum up about all we did and I even managed to give a holiday to my camera (it does work hard all year long too!)

Addie did manage to get about 25 Sea Doo rides in 3 days.

It's pretty common to see tons of firsts on this blog with Addie and Carter being so young but this post is highlighting my 32 year old husband's new trick he learned this past weekend, going I don't even want to know how fast, from the dare devil himself... Mike Perkins.

We were so lucky that MeMe got to come in for the weekend as well!

Carter's FIRST Attempt At Water Skiing at 3!!

There was no plan for Carter to ski anytime this summer but everyone at the lake this past weekend was talking about it, therefore, Mr. Carter Brown got really excited about trying it out. Ya-Ya brought the special "learner board" out for it's very first use. On land, Carter was looking good!

I helped him put his feet in and daddy drove the Sea Doo.

In true Carter determination fashion, he hung on for a good 20 feet while his feet were way off the board and he got BLASTED by the water!

Finally, he let go! :) All 10 of us on the dock were cheering and clapping like crazy for him telling him how great he did so he quickly calmed down and took in all the praise.

I think 4 will be perfect and the good news is, he's already talking about trying again.

AFTER we put Carter to bed for the night, I realized it had been is OFFICIAL HALF BIRTHDAY, therefore, I woke him up and we sang happy 1/2 birthday and he enjoyed a brownie and ice cream!
