This 2009 Summer Heat....

With the worst drought conditions here in San Antonio since modern record-keeping began in 1895, we have been keeping cool with friends in the pool...

Carter finally got the hang of floaties and now can "swim" by himself without him hanging on us!

Best friends having fun together...

My favorite picture of Addie...

Addie is learning how to eat with a spoon... a messy experience I would say.....

Lots and lots of baths outside!

Lots of baths inside... Addie is getting much much brave in the bathtub trying to "swim" with her brother!

Coming up with creative games inside out of the heat... this week has been playing "race cars and tunnels..."
Carter got a special delivery this week from 'Aunt' Krista and 'Uncle' Scott. Cade gave Carter his special "BALL" bedding. I had tried to buy this bedding and it was recently discontinued so we were lucky enough to have them offer it to Carter!

Happy 15 months Addie Girl!

Let's look back on what you were like during your 15th month of life...

Such a beautiful baby! (Though, you really don't care for baby dolls at this age at all!)
But you do LOVE to CLIMB anything and EVERYTHING!

At 15 months, you love to be anywhere your brother is. Everyday, you make a stop at the piano to play.

The last several day have been ALL ABOUT teething, rather an ear infection! (45 minutes after I wrote this original post, you woke up, yet again, for the 4th straight night and were inconsolable. I followed my strong mommy intuition and although Blake was out of town, took you to Goodnight Pediatrics at 8:30 PM to find an ear infection. Poor baby... and to think it was teething!)

You absolutely are infatuated with dogs, WAY more than your brother ever was. In all seriousness, at this age, they are the only thing that will calm you down when you are all worked up and crying hysterically.

Even stuffed animal dogs are what you naturally want all the time!

The last couple of weeks, you have constantly been making this cute "fishy face" and will usually do it on command...

Your curls continue to grow longer and longer, and yet, they keep getting tighter and tighter. Everyone always asks where you get this hair from. I think you were destined to have it from both side of the family....

More than anything, as we complete your 15th month, I am just happy to have your distinctful laugh back. You had a really rough 2 weeks period this past month with "adenovirus" with pink eye and later "Periorbital cellulitis," a very serious condition in both eyes.

Happy 15th month baby girl! We all love you so much.

6 in 30 months!

That is how many grand kids MeMe Diane and Papa Lance have had! This weekend in Dallas was the first time we had EVERYONE together and all the kids playing! Thanks Heather and Chris for hosting all of us in your home for most of the long weekend! We appreciate it!
First there was Carter... Dec 2006

Carter got a buddy to throw the ball with in April 2008 with the birth of Carson Riley...

Just 4 weeks later, Addie decided to throw some estrogen into the family!

In November 2008, sweet Sean and Kaylee joined the family and gave these little ones some cousins to look up to...

And that brings us to June 2009, with the arrival of Rose, we are balanced at 3 boys and 3 girls? Heather and Nash.... what will it be to break the tie? Or one of each as everyone tells you!?!
I just LOVE this picture... this is a perfect depiction of how fun and chaotic our weekend with six kids all 6 years or under was! (Notice the pure LOVE from Sean to his new baby sister during it all!)
Just some more fun memories...

Notice that Addie was NOT A BIG FAN of us having a baby in our hands...
