Baby Marcie "Turns 1!"

Earlier this week I decided to make a special breakfast for the kids before they woke up. They were so excited about Cinnamon Streusel Muffins a.k.a CUPCAKES that I had to think fast to come up with a reason as to why they got this special unhealthy breakfast randomly that morning (as not to make it a normal request every single morning in the future.)

Addie was holding her baby named Marcie, who has quickly become a full fledged member of the Brown family, jumping up and down at the thought of CUPCAKES at 7:30 in the morning and I found my out... it suddenly became "Baby Marcie's 1st Birthday Party" and since we all get big special breakfasts complete with hats and decorations, we had to do the same for Marcie! So Happy Birthday Baby Marcie on your new birthday of September 22! I am anxious to see how much you grow over the next year....

Candy Party Fun!!!

With 2 party girls, we kept the party to our families and just 2 little close friends from their day care class. Even with that, I think we had close to 40 people. It was a perfect morning and did get warm fast. Addie and Ella's 2nd birthday was sure a day we will never forget!
Ya Ya, Addie and Mema and the 2 proud dads.
"Jack Nikki" even made a appearance for the girls' big day. Aunt Danielle came to celebrate with Addie.
MeMe came all the way in from Tyler for the special birthday event and did so much to help out the entire weekend.
Aunt Carol was ready to have some fun.
There was lots of time for playing on the roller coaster, one of the best toys we own.
As always, the bounce house was a total hit!
MeMe, YaYa and Grandpa surprised Addie with this adorable play house that was a HUGE hit at the party with ALL the kids.
Addie and their good friend Ella Madrid playing in the house together.
After lots of playing, everyone worked up a BIG appetite and enjoyed all the yummy food. Addie even got a rare treat - all you can drink lemonade.
One of my favorite pictures of the day...
Addie lounging... waiting for some more lemonade!
After everyone was recharged with the food, it was DANCE TIME, we had several songs ready like "Lolli Pop Lolli Pop!", "Candy Girl" and the theme from Greece - "We Go Together..." All the kids and adults had fun dancing. I have some videos I will post soon.
It was then time for CAKE! Each girl had their own cupcake tower and their own big cupcake cake to blow candles out.
After cake time, it was PINATA TIME! Each child pulled a string until Ella pulled the final string and the door opened and all the yummy treats fell out.
Everyone took time to take a inventory of their loot.
Aunt Erin and Pops giving some special attention to the birthday girl.
Nice family picture with the kid's mouths FULL of candy! Hey, that's what it is all about at a candy party right?
Before everyone left, they got to load up their personalized pails at the CANDY TABLE. Carter made sure not to miss this.
Then it was time for kisses goodbye!
What a fun party it was!

How Many Ways Can Addie Celebrate Being 2?!?!

It all officially started the night before with an early Happy Birthday Cupcake with Carter and Cousin Carson. I was looking back at your 1st birthday DAY last year and had fun watching the vidoes of you as a baby.
One of many chocolate cupcakes this week.
Our family tradition is that the birthday girl gets to choose whatever breakfast she wants and we all, as a family, fix it for her.  This year Addie chose her favorite scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits. Yum Yum!
Then she got to open the present her Bubba got for her...
After breakfast, Cousin Carson and Cali as well as Ella met us at Kiddie Park for a fun filled birthday morning!
When we got to school later that day, there was this sign welcoming Addie on the front door... it feels like it was just yesterday, we walked into see this one. Addie brought chocolate chip muffins as a snack for all her friends to celebrate the BIG "2"!
Just a few hours later, we all met up again at BIGZ to have a great summer dinner.
Addie and Ella broke into the blocked off area and this is what I discovered when I found them. And then YES... MORE CUPCAKES! That is 3 servings in  less than 20 hours and she still hadn't even been to her birthday party.
Addie got her dream present by having not 1 BUT 2 newborns to give attention to...
The icing on the cake was that her B.F.F. was in the most affecionate mood for her birthday and wanted to kiss, hug and hold Addie's hand non-stop!
Happy 2nd birthday our sweet girl... what a great day it was and what an even more amazing year it will be, no doubt!
