Loading up the golf cart to head to the beach on Friday afternoon... the kids were so excited all week.
Addie was so curious about the beach and got out and immediately ran to the water edge and just stopped and stared and walked up and down the beach taking it all in.
Carter was apprehensive about getting in the water too deep, not due to his ears, but rather this year, crabs!!! I don't know where he gets it from.
The monumental thing that happened this trip is the kids were able to sleep well in the same bed... I snuck in the first night for this priceless shot...
Saturday early morning it did storm a ton so we spent the morning exploring Pop's beach house and all the cool old things he had in it including this "lava lamp" from 20 years ago.
We colored on paper and ourselves!
Then we decided to get out and explore downtown Port A, a town I had pretty much grown up in on the weekends, in the 80's and 90's. Besides a few new super center beach stores, a lot of the core things were still there! The kids each got to pick out a store they wanted to go in (or rather explore the front of.) Addie choose the one on the left and Carter was mesmerized with the gigantic shark store.
More to come... so many good ones...
