Carter is 16 months old and becoming so smart!

What a fun age Carter is at! He understands way more than we imagine and he surprises us everyday. He loves shoes and always want to have them on or in his hands. I think he associates them with going outside. He will try repeat almost anything we ask him to and at nap time and at night will say "Night night," when we put him in his crib to go to sleep!

Although, I don't think he has any clue why there is this pink, "girly room," suddenly in our home, he does likes to play in Addison's crib

Addison's Baby Shower

This weekend, my mom, Maria Lopez, Amy White and Alison Leonard hosted a perfect baby shower for me and Addison.

Even my best friend from high school, Jennifer Hickey, surprised me by coming in all the way from Dallas. Amy Hernandez traveled in from Austin as well. I have such amazing girl friends!

Carter is 15 months old and keeping us busy BuSy BUSY running after him! (Especially 7 1/2 months pregnant!)

Little Getaway For the Two of Us....

before Miss Addie's arrival in a few weeks...

We took off to Phoenix for just a long weekend and stayed at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. It was great and very relaxing. One of the highlights of the weekend was this very nice "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant I found! (Thanks Trip Advisor!) It was filled with locals in a tiny little building and was BYOB (Bottle of wine!) DELICIOUS!

Otherwise, we just hung out by the pool, relaxed in our room and even played some gold. (Rather, I drove the cart nearly 8 months pregnant!)

Carter's 1st Trip to the Zoo and Train Ride!

We decided to take advantage of this still cool weather and take Carter to the zoo for the very first time! He loved the monkey that made the loudest noise you could ever imagine!

Then we went next door and rode the same Brakenridge Train that I remember riding when I was a kid!

The BIG 3-0 for Blake

February has been a busy month for us because Blake turned 30 and I threw him a BIG surprise party with 50 of his family and friends. His mom, brother Clint, sister Heather, and brother-in-law Chris, all made the long trip in to surprise him at Longhorn Cafe. Megan and Mike Perkins were in on it and helped me get him there without ever figuring anything out.

Carter is such an incredibly HUGE "daddy's boy" at this age!

Later that weekend, we all went to Freebirds for lunch!

Also, this month, Blake and I helped host a "Couple's Baby Shower" for Megan and Mike and "Baby Perkins!" We still don't know what they are having... I hope for a little girl for Addie to grow up with. ;)

Happy New Year - 2008 Is Going To Be A Busy One!

Carter is 13 months now and growing like a weed. He absolutely LOVES all balls and is beginning to stand and bounce a basketball several times in a row.

His hair has finally started to grow and he got his first hair cut last month on his first birthday.

I am 6 months pregnant along with Megan Perkins. Kelly Boerckel is about 6 weeks ahead of us. We enjoyed a couples' night out this month!

Aunt Alli came all the way in from Houston to see us this month, as well... so sweet!
